Even though she has made headlines for being cast in ABC’s new ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot, Rachael Taylor will be returning to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ to reprise her role of Dr. Lucy, tvline.com is reporting. Shonda Rhimes, the creator of the veteran series, has confirmed that Taylor will return to Seattle Grace after production on the anticipated pilot wraps.
“We only really lose her for two episodes,” Rhimes said of Taylor. The actress is “contractually obligated to us for the rest of the season, so she’s coming back when she’s done (with ‘Charlie’s Angels’), for our last two episodes.”
However, there’s no word yet whether or not Taylor will return to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ anytime next season. Rhimes said she expects ABC to give ‘Charlie’s Angels’ a green light for the fall. If it does, she won’t be available to return to the hospital drama. But Rhimes added that “I would love to keep (Rachael) Taylor forever. She is so delightful (and) so talented.”
