According to MTV, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” has had many different endings filmed to tie up the Malfoy family storyline, and the actors who portray the Malfoys have no idea which ending was used.
Helen McCrory, who plays Narcissa Malfoy in the films, told MTV she filmed several different battle scenes. “It’s quite strange because we haven’t seen the last film,” she said. “For instance, with Narcissa, we actually filmed four different endings and I filmed three different battles.”
Lovers of the books are expecting to see Narcissa join forces with Harry by lying to Voldemort about Harry’s actual death in order to save her family. However, for some people, like me, the ending of the Malfoy family’s storyline leaves a little to be desired, seeing how Draco’s characterization kind of peters out toward the end. Perhaps, since Tom Felton gave such a stirring turn with Draco in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” they’ve given Draco more stuff to do. Well, that’s what I hope for, anyway.
What do you think the endings are about? And what’s the ending you hope to see in the final cut of the film (which comes out July 15)? Sound off below.
