I’m a big fan of the Scream 4 one sheet – the Ghostface/knife image – but these posters are just in another league. As part of Mondo‘s “Director’s Series” we bring you two Alex Pardee designs, both fantastic creative twists on two slasher icons, Wes Craven’s Freddy Krueger and Ghostface. Craven is director number four to see his work reimaged through the series, the first three being Guillermo del Toro, Duncan Jones and Zack Snyder. Mondo, the collectible art boutique arm of Alama Drafthouse Cinema, has Pardee lined up to design images for Swamp Thing, The Hills Have Eyes and The Last House on the Left as well.

Clearly these posters meet my approval, but how about the master of suspense himself? “It’s an honor and great fun to be chosen by Mondo to participate in their Director’s Series,” said Craven. “I think the posters brim with wild imagination and sly humor.” Mondo’s creative director, Justin Ishmael, shares Craven’s excitement. He explained, “Wes Craven has been traumatizing audiences for years and we are very proud to add this master of horror and suspense to the ever growing ranks of Mondo Director’s Series.”

Now the question is, how do you get your hands on one of these? Alamo and Mondo plan to print some high quality, hand numbered prints and you can snag one for yourself for just $35. Both the Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street posters are set to go on sale on April 14th, the day before Craven’s latest hits theaters, Scream 4.
