One of the most anticipated movies released this summer, “Green Lantern”, is looking more and more cosmic! This new banner released by Warner Bros gives comic book fans and moviegoers a look at the entire Green Lantern Corps. The Green Lantern Corps is the elite intergalactic police force entrusted to protect the universe from evil. Ryan Reynolds plays Hal Jordan, a test pilot chosen to join this elite squad.
A teaser trailer released before “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1” generated a lukewarm response from comic book geeks and moviegoers alike. This banner is a follow-up to the footage showcased by Warner Bros at WonderCon and CinemaCon this year. Personally, I wasn’t sold on this movie until I saw this footage. And recent news of Warner Bros adding an additional $9 million to the post-production budget has also generated a mixed response and concerns of “cutting it close” before the release of the movie.
But overall, I’m pretty excited about this movie added by the release of this banner. It looks like it will be a full on space opera and will not be “watered down” for a mass audience. This banner was first premiered on MTV’s Splash Page. “Green Lantern” will hit theaters on June 3rd in 3D and IMAX.
