Jason Momoa talks with Empire about his role in the upcoming film “Conan the Barbarian” by director Marcus Nispel Marcus Nispel (Frankenstein, Friday the 13th, Pathfinder) starring Stephen Lang (Avatar), Rose McGowan (Machete, Red Sonja), Ron Perlman (Bubba Nosferatu: Curse of the She-Vampires, The Hobbit: Part 2) and Jason Momoa as Conan. The film is based on author Robert E. Howard’s “Conan the Barbarian” character, which he created in 1932. The character has since been adapted into multiple mediums, from previous films, TV series, comic books, and cartoons.

Synopsis: The tale of Conan the Cimmerian and his adventures across the continent of Hyboria on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village.
The film has a tentative 2011 release date, and would be a film reboot of the Conan films, which were “Conan The Barbarian” in 1982 and “Conan The Destroyer”, both starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
