Adelitas Way certainly knows what it means to be badass rockers. The group’s single, “Sick,” is a powerhouse anthem with cutting edge vocals and instrumentals. The tune alone was enough to unleash our domineering side. When the Las Vegas band put an image to the tune, the feeling of rage was so positively overwhelming that it kept our timid side locked up for good. So, you can only imagine how ecstatic our wild self was when the video, which premiered earlier this month on MTV2, was made available on YouTube. Here is a brief recap of the music video for “Sick.” The tune features the quintet singing in a dark area lit by burning flames. The video’s angst is heightened by the band’s blurred instrumental shots and fierce band close-ups.The sparks of the video coincide with the aggressive musical nature the band expresses in the track. Directed by Michael Maxxis, the video for “Sick” is simple in storyline, but visually striking.
“Sick” is the first single off the band’s upcoming sophomore album, “Highschool Valedictorian”, which will be released on June 7th. Check out their latest video on YouTube as well as their Album Sampler, which gives fans a preview of the entire album.
