If we weren’t so adamant about music journalism, our next career path would probably involve working on a music video set. We appreciate the instrumentals and vocals of a track, but what we admire most is the meaning behind the lyrics of a song and a music video visually discloses just that. We have to confess that heavy metal and hard rock are genres we have a difficult time decoding due to the abrasive sounds of the instruments and vocals. It is not a bad thing, just the style of the music. So to be able to watch a music video of these categories is the perfect solution to our struggles.
Black Tide knew exactly how to wrap us up in their metal charm by releasing behind the scenes footage from their new video for the single, “Walking Dead Man,” off their sophomore album, Post Mortem, which drops August 23rd. Fans can watch the video at the band’s official YouTube Channel. You can hear the band discuss the meaning behind “Walking Dead Man,” the writing process behind the tune, the location of the video and the group’s jamming ways. The tough exterior of the Florida quartet could have you a bit intimidated at first, but behind that image Black Tide is a talented group that wants to get their music out there and relate to their listeners.
You could get know the band on an even more personal level by checking them out from August 26 through October 15th on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival, which also features Avenged Sevenfold, Seether, Bullet For My Valentine and more. For ticket and date information head on over to the Festival’s official site.
