After the BBC won its battle with ITV to broadcast the British version of the hit singing reality competition ‘The Voice,’ the network is now looking to feature Cheryl Cole as a host, Yahoo News is reporting. The singer was signed to appear as a host on the upcoming American version of ‘The X-Factor’ on Fox until executives let her go. She also lost her chance to rejoin the British version after refusing to take calls from ITV officials. With Cole’s schedule free of hosting duties, the BBC wants to sign her for ‘The Voice.’
There is no official word yet on whether or not the BBC officially offered Cole a hosting position. Her rep denied that Cole signed a deal with Talpa Media, which is behind the American version of ‘The Voice’ on NBC. However, she was the second most popular judge on ‘The X-Factor’ after Simon Cowell, and the network is pursuing her.
