It is comforting to know that the world of music has no definitive beginning point or end point. We are sure it varies in opinion when the strike of a note first occurred or the singing of a verse and I guess we can say when the world ends, music will fall with it too. Those are some very vague statements, but we are confident to say that with technology, tunes of the past will always be relived in the present and brought along to the future. Just ask the 1970s rock n’roll band, Bad Company, who continues to release music in the 21st Century.
Bad Company’s original three members, vocalist Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke, along with bassist Lynn Sorensen and guitarist Howard Leese, created a memorable performance at the historic British venue, Wembley Arena, in London in April 2010. To no surprise, this legendary show was caught on film and will be available for your viewing on June 28th, when Eagle Rock Entertainment releases Live At Wembley on DVD, Blu-Ray and CD. Fans can watch Bad Company perform their iconic tunes, which include “Can’t Get Enough,” “Honey Child,” “Run With The Pack,” “Burnin’ Sky,” “Young Blood,” “Simple Man” and more, in all these three formats. Take your pick of how you would like to watch and listen to Bad Company.
As we always like to say, the subgenres of rock you have today, like alternative, hard or even indie, all grew out of rock n’ roll of the past. So before you call yourselves rock fans and experts, we suggest you further acquaint yourselves with legendary groups, like Bad Company. They might not be as relevant as say the Foo Fighters nowadays, but they are the fathers of these contemporary bands and deserve much appreciation, especially come this Sunday.
