Megan Fox and John C. Reilly have both been cast in cameo roles in the upcoming Sacha Baron Cohen comedy ‘The Dictator,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter. Not much information has been revealed about what roles the two will be portraying in the Paramount movie that’s currently filming in New York. Fox and Reilly join fellow supporting actors Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley and Jason Mantzoukas.
‘The Dictator,’ which is set for a May 11, 2012 release, has been described as “the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.” Cohen, who is reuniting with his ‘Borat’ director Larry Charles, will play two characters, a goat herder and a overthrown foreign ruler who gets lost in America.
The movie, which was penned by ‘Seinfeld’ and ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ writers Alec Berg, David Mandel and Jeff Schaffer, is the latest comedy role for Fox. Despite getting her big break in the first two ‘Transformers’ films, she’s turning to comedy in the upcoming ensemble comedic-drama ‘Friends With Kids,’ directed by Jennifer Westfelt and co-starring Kristen Wiig. Fox will also appear in Judd Apatow’s next movie, ‘This Is Forty,’ which begins shooting in Summer 2011.
