Justin Bieber and a handful of other artists have paved the way for Internet successes. You should think about that statement for a second. Artists are able to build up a fan base of thousands before their album officially drops. We can boldly speculate that 19-year-old singer and songwriter, Stephen Jerzak, will join this Internet pack. With over 18 million plays and counting on MySpace, over 100,000 fans on Facebook, over 3.5 million views on YouTube and 230,000 singles sold on iTunes, the Wisconsin native is irrefutably ready for his career to take off with the release of his debut album, ‘Miles and Miles’, on Universal/Republic Records on June 14th.
You may not have heard his name until now, but Stephen Jerzak has already headlined three tours, supported Mike Posner and Far East Movement on a national tour, played at both SXSW and Bamboozle and was direct support on the All Star Weekend tour in November/December 2010. We can place a firm bet that Stephen is well seasoned for the fame that is about to come his way.
The 12 track album, Miles and Miles, is compiled of lighthearted titles that define the breezy summer days, such as the current single, “Party Like You’re Single,” “Hot Over Summer,” “Love Is Strong,” “Cute” and “She Said,” which features Leighton Meester. The debut album plays just as the track titles read. The tempo of tunes has that summer kick that is infested with luscious pop and electronica beats. Truthfully, you will not find yourself using these songs to solve your life problems permanently, but the tune will rid your mind of your struggles temporarily. So sit back, let your body flow and just enjoy the moment of clarity
