Supernatural star Jared Padalecki just won the Next Movie sites poll for viewers who wanted to see their favorite TV actors on the big screen. Graciously accepting the award, the actor talked a little about his career, and showed his love for the Gilmore Girls, the former TV series that helped spotlight the Texas native’s talents. Now he’s known as Sam in the hit CW series, but before working as one of the famous hunting Winchester Brothers, alongside Jensen Ackles, Padalecki was famously known as Dean Forster, a wholesome character, and love interest of Rory Gilmore. Here’s what Padalecki had to say about his past experience and whether he would return to his roots and appear in a Gilmore Girls movie if the opportunity ever arose.
“One hundred percent! I would love to. I really would truly love to. It was so fun. I have nothing but fond memories of that show. I came to it straight out of high school, I grew up on the show, and I’d love to go revisit that character.”
Padalecki also spoke about his six year run on Supernatural, stating that he plans on finishing out the show until the series officially goes off the air.
“If it weren’t for ‘Supernatural’, I wouldn’t have a lot of the blessings that I have today, so I’m going to play it out. I’m going to give it my all. I’ll be with the cast and crew for the remainder [of the show’s run], as long as the fans want us on the air and the network obliges.”
Sounds like fans won’t be able to see Jared grace the silver screen for quite awhile, but who cares seeing him every week is ten times better! Unless he decides to pursue both.
