Jim Bianco should be a name you have heard of before if you are a regular ShockYa reader. If not, you should probably browse through our site more thoroughly. This statement is meant to sound forward due to Jim Bianco’s ability to individualize each song. How many indie artists out there are capable of doing this on a single album? We only need one hand to count, so to not know Jim Bianco is an immense musical loss on your part. If the name still doesn’t ring a bell, check out our album review, of his latest release, Loudmouth, which dropped April 5th.
The 9 track album will have you a Bianco fan after listening to the first tune, “Sinners.” The lead single is a bar tune. This comment is not meant to sound like an insult, rather the opposite. When we classify a track as a “bar” tune, we are putting it in the same category as the famed tunes, “Come on Eileen” and “Roxanne.” These are select tracks where you can kick back with a beer in hand and sing along to it with friends. In our opinion, these songs will never falter in popularity. They live on from one generation to the next.
According to Bianco’s new video for “Sinners,” we hit the nail on the head with our description. The video is a montage of fan clips that he put together from a contest he ran. It is a feel good video. All you can do is smile as these unfamiliar faces sing along to the catchy tune with their guards down and mouths turned up. We hope one day very soon we will hear “Sinners” with our friends at a party. Yes, we are trying to stage our own legendary night, but after watching this video, we just can’t help ourselves.
