Colin Firth and Scarlett Johnansson are the two latest stars to be reportedly in talks to join the upcoming bank-heist-gone-wrong thriller ‘Trance,’ CinemaBlend is reporting. Director Danny Boyle is looking at the Academy Award-winning actor to take on the role that ‘X-Men: First Class’ star Michael Fassbender was previously being considered for, the leading character of Aiden. The Tony Award-winning actress is being considered for the role of major supporting character Elizabeth.
No official offers have been made yet to either Firth or Johnasson. But if the two are hired, they will join Fassbender’s ‘X-Men’ co-star, James McAvoy, who will reportedly play Simon.
Boyle may not be able to secure Johansson for ‘Trance,’ for which he hasn’t released a synopsis for yet, as she has several other movies already lined up. She has signed onto reprise her ‘Iron Man 2’ character Black Widow in Joss Whedon’s upcoming film ‘The Avengers.’ She’ll also appear in Jonathan Glazer’s ‘Under the Skin,’ which is scheduled to be released in 2014.
