You’d think a guy wearing five hats for one feature film – director, writer, producer, star and editor – would be a little more, I don’t know, high strung. Sure Evan Glodell is thrilled his first feature film Bellflower is finally making its way into theaters, but even when looking back at the long, trying and expensive production process, he only has the best to say about the experience, even the more difficult moments.

Glodell stars in the film as Woodrow, a young guy always hanging out with his buddy Aiden (Tyler Dawson) and living their dream of building a flame-thrower, wicked car and amassing a gang called Mother Medusa, with which they plan to rule the roads post-apocalypse. On the other hand, Woodrow is also quite romantic and in the midst of his and Aiden’s Mad Max-inspired project, he meets the perfect woman, Milly (Jessie Wiseman). Well, perfect until she rips his heart out and smashes it into a million pieces.

So, not only did Glodell have his work cut out for him in terms of managing a multitude of jobs, but he’s also working with a script that spans a handful of genres – action, drama, romance and a bit buddy adventure, too. Regardless, Glodell’s reached the finish line and crosses it with the best spirits and the writer-director-producer-actor-editor was absolutely glowing at Bellflower’s New York premiere. Get a taste of what he was so excited about in the video interview below.
