If you live in Pittsburgh and are a “Batman” fan, you’re in luck! According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the part of the city called the Golden Triangle will shut down between August 10 to August 21. Parking will be restricted and certain sidewalks will be blocked from usage. During this time, Pittsuburgh will be transformed into the City of Gotham for “The Dark Knight Rises.”
This is big news for the city, but even bigger news for “Batman” fans. Also, as if that’s not enough to send you over the top, there’s a way for Pittsburgh citizens to be a part of the film.
According to Steelers.com, the film is looking for extras to fill a stadium in the Pittsburgh area on Saturday, August 6. It’s a one-day filming session, starting at 7 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m. People 14 and up are welcome to join; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Extras will also be able to win door prizes such as autographed items and gift cards.
