The pet project of George Lucas, a film called “Red Tails” has a trailer released for film fans’ consumption. The movie, starring Terrence Howard, Ne-Yo, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, Tristan Wilds, Method Man, Michael B. Jordan, Andre Royo, and Marcus T. Paulk (from “Moesha”!), tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen as they fought the enemy in WWII and racism in the American Air Force.

Since I am an Alabamian, I’m proud to know that a film about the Tuskegee Airmen has been made, but I’m also irritated that George Lucas is behind it. Granted, he didn’t direct the film–Anthony Hemingway is the director and Lucas only contributed the story with John Ridley providing the screenplay–but I can see Lucas’ stamp all over this film, what with the CGI fighter jets and computerized air fights. I can tell it’s made on a computer, and I don’t feel like having “Star Wars prequels” flashbacks while watching this historical film. I mean, I know there will have to be some effects done because these are actors and not trained fighter pilots, but there could be something done to make the planes look realistic.

However, the trailer is below the post so you can gauge your emotions about it. After watching the trailer, let us know what you think. Are you annoyed with the amount of CGI? And are you happy to see Moesha’s brother back in the spotlight? Sound off below.
