Jason Reeves isn’t a household name just yet, but come August 16th the multi-platinum singer-songwriter will have you “lovesick” for his music. He is set to release his first full-length album, “The Lovesick”, on that August summer day. To better acquaint yourself with his musical talents, you should check out the tunes off of his 2007 album, “The Magnificent Adventures of Heartache (and other Frightening Tales)”, which received “Top Indie Singer Songwriter” and “Top Folk Album” honors from iTunes.
We had the opportunity to interview Reeves a few months about his upcoming album, “The Lovesick”, which was produced by Adam Smith. He explained to us the meaning of the album’s title and that of the single “Stick and Stones”, his own experiences with lovesick and his collaborations with Colbie Caillat and ‘American Idol’ alum Kara DioGuardi. With this interview, you’ll have a solid amount of background knowledge on Reeves and the upcoming album before it drops.
In case you are still unaware of who Jason Reeves is, we’ll briefly fill you in on his musical achievements so far. Reeves co-wrote 20 tracks on Colbie Caillat’s two platinum albums, including “Bubbly”, “Realize” and “I Never Told You”. He also currently wrote the title track for her brand new album, “All of You”.
