The recently defeated bill to more properly restrict violent video games has left me puzzled at the hypocrisy of our anthropomorphic government, which in my imagination is a befuddled senior citizen harshly debating with a cornered ficus about the violent nature of Primal Rage. When I can turn on the television to find nearly naked women advertising soap, waving synthetic private parts on the The Daily Show, or [insert any MTV show here] with nary a concerned finger being raised I can confidently say that the Supreme Court was correct in their recent ruling. I cannot see another round of unregulated alarmist restrictions ever helping as much as parents doing their jobs properly.
Zero-lives is a weekly comic strip lampooning the world of video games from the 8bit predecessors to the current systems. If it’s video game related it’s fair game. Rated E for everyone.
