Actor Nick Zano has been cast in a recurring role in CBS’ new series “2 Broke Girls”, per Deadline. The series, that follows actress Kat Dennings, as Max, and Beth Behrs, in the role of Caroline, chronicles two twenty something waitress’ trying to make a living, working at a Brooklyn restaurant. Zano has been tapped to portray a character by the name of Johnny, “a sexy, funny brilliant street artist using “Jpeg” as his art name. He works as a bartender in a neighborhood bar and has a sarcastic relationship with Max as both feel they are too cool to admit to their blossoming feelings for each other.”
Zano, who was a series regular on “What I Like About You” with Amanda Bynes and Jenny Garth, has been seen in several television guest stints since the end of the WB series back in 2006, but has yet to land a regular TV role. The actor has been seen in “7th Heaven”, “Cougar Town”, and “Melrose Place”, with recent appearances in “Drop Dead Diva” as Tim Kline. He is also attached to star in his close friend Channing Taum’s movie “Ten Year” and the movie “Scents and Sensibility”.
Nick Zano will show up this fall when 2 Broke Girls premieres on September 19th at 9:30, before moving to an 8:30 est time slot on September 26th. The show comes from creators Michael Patrick King and Whitney Cummings.
