‘Smallville’ star Cassidy Freeman, who played Tess Mercer in two seasons of the CW’s Superboy Saga, has been cast in NBC’s The Playboy Club’. Joining series regulars Randy Steinmeyer, Eddie Cibrian and David Krumholtz, Freeman will play “a Chicago socialite who begins a for-show-only relationship with Nick Dalton,” per TV Line. Freeman seems to have a penchant for playing villainous characters, making this role right up her alley. The actress, who is also part of the pilot series Longmire, will show up in the third episode of ‘The Playboy Club’ which premieres on NBC September 19th at 10pm est.
