Troubled Coast has found a home with Pure Noise Records. The Berkley, California based group formed in 2009 and has since developed a sound that is filled with melodic aggression.
The band dropped their debut album, “100 Miles From Home”, back in 2010 and their sophomore album, “Letters”, in the spring of 2011. Those were two consecutive years of some good hard rock indie music. Why not keep the musical juices flowing? Troubled Coast thought the same because the group plans on releasing its label debut 7″ EP in November.
By checking out the tunes off of “Letters”, we have taken a liking to the group’s eclectic sound. They take the elements we enjoy most of rock and metal and fuse them together. Just take the strong instrumental rifts of metal music and the clearly sung lyrics and uninhibited vocals of rock, fuse them together and there in lies Troubled Coast.
If you are on the western coast, you can hear it for yourself and check out Troubled Coast at San Francisco’s Thee Parkside with This is Hell and Decoder. The group will also kick off show dates with Pentimento and Deadhorse on September 9th.
Welcome to Pure Noise Records, Troubled Coast! We look forward to hearing more from you rebellious rockers.
