‘The Proposal’ co-stars Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are reportedly reuniting for the upcoming FOX animated comedy ‘And Then There Was Gordon,’ Deadline is reporting. The two stars will lead the voice cast of the show, which is being produced by Reynold’s recently launched TV company, DarkFire, with Allan Loeb.
Reynolds and Loeb are co-writing the script together, which has received a presentation order from FOX. ‘And Then There Was Gordon’ will be the first writing effort for the actor, but Loeb is known for scripting such movies as ‘Just Go With It’ and ‘Wall Street 2.’
‘And Then There Was Gordon’ follows an ordinary child surrounded by his prodigy siblings and brilliant, neurotic mother, the role Bullock is being considered for. The Oscar winner is also believed to executive produce the series, alongside DarkFire principals Reynolds, Loeb, Steven Pearl and Jonathon Komack Martin.
The animated comedy is the second sale for DarkFire, which also received a pilot commitment from FOX for its comedy ‘Guidance’ last week. Tyler Labine is attached to star in and produce the show, which is described as an adult buddy comedy set in high school.
The announcement of ‘And Then There Was Gordon’ comes after Reynolds and Bullock became attached to star together in a feature follow-up to ‘The Proposal,’ titled ‘Most Wanted.’ The two actors will reunite with writer Pete Chiarelli and director Anne Fletcher.
