We are enjoying the newest celebrity relationship. No, we are not talking about the pairing of Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, but that of rockers and Call of Duty. Most recently, we told you ShockYa readers about Avenged Sevenfold creating a song, “Not Ready To Die”, for Call of Duty: Black Ops, but now we have a new announcement regarding the online video game and music. On September 2nd at 8pm, Dropkick Murphys will perform at the opening night of the first ever “Call of Duty XP”, the destination for Call of Duty gamers worldwide.
With their Irish punk roots in Quincy, Mass., the Dropkick Murphys will spread their American punk rock and Celtic folk sound throughout the Call of Duty fan event. The video game festival will also feature the global premiere of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” multiplayer and a $1 Million Tournament presented by Xbox 360. The two-day festival will take place September 2nd and September 3rd in Los Angeles, California.
As you know, we are big music groupies over here at Shockya. So, any other form of entertainment that includes music is just a given for us. If you show an interest in the glorious world of music, we’ll show you our support right back.
