Twilight actress Anna Kendrick is said to be in talks to star in the new romantic comedy movie entitled ‘Pitch Perfect’. Kendrick, who apparently has a killer voice, would play the role of a college loner, whose gothic attire and bad attitude clashes with her dad, a professor at her school. Coming full circle, Kendrick’s character will suddenly find herself living a different life when she becomes the star of the college’s female a capella team.
The movie, based off a non-fiction book penned by GQ writer Mickey Rapkin, will be directed by Jason Moore, whose work includes Everwood, Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill. He has also worked on the production Avenue Q, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This would be Moore’s directorial film debut. Rebel Wilson of Bridesmaids is already attached to star in the film. Shooting on ‘Pitch Perfect’ is set to begin in New Orleans this fall.
Currently Kendrick is said to be shooting her latest film role opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in ‘End of Watch’ from director David Ayer. She is also attached to the movie What to Expect When You’re Expecting as Rosie, and the flick ParaNorman, where she’ll be lending her voice to the story about a “misunderstood boy who can speak with the dead, takes on ghosts, zombies and moronic grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse.”
