If we had to list our favorite music genres, we can definitely be sure electronic music would not be in the top three of our list. Nothing against the electronica world, we just prefer to hear a more organic sound. We do have to admit though that we do enjoy the heavily technology infused tunes a bit more besides a music video. There is something empowering when watching the genre’s videos. The beats and imagery complement each other and create a staggering overflow of emotions. We can further prove our point with the latest video release from Innerpartysystem.
The American electronica and alternative rock band consists of the trio, Patrick Nissley, Jared Piccone and Kris Barman. The instrumental and programming group released their latest EP, “Never Be Content” in February via Red Bull Records. The music video for the track, “Not Getting Any Better”, which is off of the EP, hit the Internet earlier this summer. Directed by Christopher Mills, the video is an animated dream sequence, which follows the life of a street car driver, just as a tragedy is about to strike. The coloring and illumination of the graphics are coordinated with the amplification of the track’s tempo.
Simply said, the “Not Getting Any Better” videp is a visual journey that makes us sometimes doubt our low ranking of the electronica genre.
