The more time passes, Nicole Scherzinger seems to be drifting further from her former title as the Pussycat Dolls lead singer. This realization might be a bit sad for you “Don’t Cha” fans, but Scherzinger is giving you a lot to look forward to, both in the music and television worlds.
The global superstar has just released the video for her newest single, “Don’t Hold Your Breath”, which is off of her upcoming solo album, “Killer Love”, set to drop in November via Interscope Records. The track debuted at the #1 spot on the UK National Chart and also hit #1 on both the Combined Singles Chart and Digital Download Chart. “Don’t Hold Your Breath” is the album’s second single and is as addicting as the lead single, “Right There”, which features 50 Cent. The pop tune is extremely empowering with its relatable lyrics and reawakening beat. At first, the track appears to be a bit somber, but as you let the words of the tune soak in, “Don’t Hold Your Breath” is the ideal therapeutic track post break up.
Directed by Rich Lee, the track’s video has received more than 18 million views overseas. With Scherzinger’s looks and vocals, as well as her “girl power” attitude, we can only imagine the video to acquire the same success, here in America. Taking place at night on a rainy day, you immediately sense the mood of the video and are fully focused on the former Pussy Cat Doll singer. She might be distraught about her love life in the opening, but at the end, the heartbreak appears to have turned into confidence.
Scherzinger’s self-assurance will surely hit new highs this fall, once the U.S. version of ‘The X Factor’ takes off. For more about the pop singer, including performance clips, videos, photos, and information on the release of “Killer Love”, visit her official website
