With summer being over, there is only one thing that comes to mind: We are getting closer to the release of Jane’s Addiction’s “The Great Escape Artist”. Frontman, Perry Farrell, guitarist, Dave Navarro and drummer, Stephen Perkins, will drop their fourth studio album on October 18th via Capitol. If you have been following our Jane’s Addiction posts, you might have realized the alternative rock founding fathers pushed their album’s street date back a few weeks from the album’s original release date of September 27th. We were quite upset at first, but after checking out the band’s latest video for the single, “Irresistible Force”, the trio was all forgiven.
The psychedelic video coincides with the raw energy that pours out of the tune. The black and white images intertwined with the illuminated and colored graphic takes the viewer on a journey, where getting lost in the song in almost a given. The track, along with the video, brings smiles to our faces that we can’t seem to wipe off. Jane’s Addiction, there is no other band like you guys and we couldn’t be happier that you are back.
