Don’t let the tough exterior of thrash metal bands fool you because underneath it all they have the warmest hearts. We credit their kind demeanors to their undying passion for music that they instill within their fans. Let’s take the Bay Area thrash kings, Testament, to better illustrate the generosity of the genre. The band will again be offering special VIP/Meet & Greet Packs on their upcoming co-headlining tour with Anthrax with support from Death Angel. Fans can spend quality time with Testament. The group offered these packs on last year’s ‘American Carnage Tour’ also featuring Megadeth and Slayer, which presented fans with a unique and exclusive chance to spend time with the band before doors opened. This year with the packs, fans will have another chance to hang out, sign autographs and take photos with the band, as well as have access to a ticket to their performance, special merchandise hand-picked by the band and a collectible Testament laminate to commemorate the experience. For more information on how to obtain the VIP/Meet & Greet Pack, click here.
The outpouring love from Testament only adds to our excitement to hear the tracks off of their newest album, “The Dark Roots Of Earth”. The thrash band has been spending time in the studio recording the album, which is the follow-up to their 2008 Golden God ‘Album of the Year’ award winning record, “The Formation of Damnation”.
As if the group wasn’t busy enough, Testament has also been spending the last three years touring the world in support of the 2008 album and now the band will be bringing its original, classic lineup back home to the United States with Anthrax and Death Angel. Don’t you remember reading our post on thrash metals big three? Well, check that out again and head on over to the band’s site for tour dates.
