Much like every Tuesday, October 4th has been a busy one in the music industry. With singles from Taio Cruz, Daughtry, T.I. and Lee DeWyze all out this week, iTunes is sure to be receiving a considerable amount of visits.
Mega-platinum-selling singer-song writer, Taio Cruz’s new track, “Hangover”, features Flo Rida and is the first single from his upcoming album, “TY.0”, which will drop December 6th via Mercury Records. “Hangover” sees Taio re-teaming with his producer, Dr. Luke (Katy Perry, Pitbull) for the first time since the duo co-produced Taio’s No. 1 blockbuster hit “Dynamite”, which sold more than 5 million singles and won three Billboard Music Awards. “Dynamite” is off of Taio’s Mercury debut “ROKSTARR”, which is the most successful selling single in Island Def Jam history. As if the hype around “Hangover” couldn’t get more exciting, the track also features additional production by Cirkut (Ke$ha) and was mixed by Grammy winner Serban Ghenea (Usher, Britney Spears, Black Eyed Peas).
With Taio Cruz’s “track” record this year, we can only imagine the best for his latest release, “Hangover”. We tend to favor music where we can deeply connect with the lyrics of the track and “Hangover” is relatable, just surface deep. The song is about exactly what the title reads; the battle those 21-year-olds and over face after a few too many drinks. Simply put, it is a fun and catchy song that will be a hit.
We listened to this track once and we are sure we will be guilty pleasurably humming it all month long.
