The Bay Area indie label, Pure Noise Records, has announced plans to release a split 7″ featuring two of the label’s rising starts, Berkley’s The American Scene and Boston’s Daybreaker, on November 29th.
Side A of the 7″ includes two tracks from The American Scene, “Why I’m Not Where You Are” and “Grip”, which were recorded by Sam Pura at the Panda Studios. The band which consists of drummer, Charles Vincent, vocalist and guitarist, Matthew Vincent and guitarist Chris Purtiill, released a full-length album, “By Way Of Introduction” on March 8th, 2011 via Pure Noise Records.
Side B contains two tracks from Daybreaker, “We’re Still Singing” and “Sleep Well Angel”, which were recorded with Jay Maas at Getaway Recording. The quartet is comprised of guitarist, Jeffery Aust, vocalist and guitarist, Dan Rose, drummer, Cullen Corley and bassist, Ryan Storer. Daybreaker’s released their debut EP “The Northbound Trains” on April 5th, 2011 via Pure Noise Records.
Nothing beats cutting edge indie music on a vinyl. Well, maybe cutting edge indie music from two bands on the same vinyl. You should insert a grin here.
