We would like to apologize to you ShockYa readers for not giving you well rounded music updates from every genre. Normally, our posts tend to be dominated by tunes from rock groups, but we are going to make an effort to correct that. So our first of many apologies is directed to those fans of rap and hip-hop. We found the perfect EP to make up for the months where new tracks from those genres were not conveyed to you readers. “Some Dreams Never Sleep” is the newest EP from rising hip-hop artist, Gilbere Forte.
The Hundreds partnered with the artist to release the 10 track EP, which dropped October 4th.The Hundreds is considered a lifestyle project that is influenced by a variety of youth culture’s defining traits. Flagship stores are located on both the west and east coasts of the United States and draw inspiration from hip-hop culture.
The Hundreds latest source of inspiration is from Philadelphia based artist, Gilbere Forte. The hip-hop artist first broke into the music industry with his debut album “87 Dreams”. “Some Dreams Never Sleep” is the third official release from Forte and features production from Don Cannon, Raak and more as well as appearances by Pusha T, Jim Jones, Big K.R.I.T., Casey Veggies, Tyga, Bun B. and Asher Roth.
Along with creating an authentically raw mix tape, Forte also plans to spread his encouraging rhymes while on the “Pledge to Rage” tour alongside On Cue and The Deans List. You can check out the tour dates as well as download the EP at Forte’s official site.
“Some Dreams Never Sleep” has officially kicked off our week on a high note and we know it will cause you readers to trust our hip-hop tastes from now on.
