Will Farrell will be in the producer’s seat for comedy film “He’s F***ing Perfect,” a comedy bought by Fox 2000, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is written by first-time screenwriter named Lauryn Kahn, and Ferrell, along with his partner Adam McKay, will be producing the film through their company, Gary Sanchez Productions. Kahn used to be McKay’s assistant.
According to the site, the deal is supposedly with in the $1 million range and has gotten Hollywood’s attention despite the spec script market’s slow downturn. In point of fact, the script just came to studios’ attention yesterday and it’s already been bought, which shows that the script must be one of those special gems in the spec script pile.
The synopsis of “He’s F***ing Perfect” involves a woman whose friends use her as a one-woman vetting system for their boyfriends–she looks up the men her friends are dating and tells her friends if they’re good enough. The process gets the better of her and her friends when she convinces one of her friends to dump their new boyfriend in order for her to have him for herself.
Working on a script isn’t all Kahn has been up to–she’s also writing a book called “Is This Guy For Real.” She’s a successful, busy bee for sure.
