Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo” has already been called possibly the best 3D movie ever, so the hype is high for this film, which comes to theaters November 23, 2011. The film, which stars Asa Butterfield, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Lee, is based on the Brian Selznick novel “The Invention of Hugo Cabret”, adapted to film by John Logan. The film follows Hugo (Butterfield), an orphan boy who is also a thief, and clock keeper living inside a Paris train station. When he finds a mechanical man, drawing, notebook and key, he begins to unravel the mystery behind his deceased father (Jude Law).

The new trailer has been released, and I can tell you that 3D is finally not being used as a gimmick–it’s actually being used as a way to broaden the scope of what seems to be an amazing story. If this is the future of 3D, then there’s hope for Baz Lurhmann’s “The Great Gatsby” after all. No more fear, everyone! (Hopefully.)

The film also stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Kingsley, Ray Winstone, Christopher Lee, Helen McCrory, Richard Griffiths, Frances de la Tour, Emily Mortimer and Michael Stuhlbarg. You can view the trailer below the post, and make sure to visit the official site and the film’s Facebook page to learn more about the film.
