The first movie trailer for ‘Project X’ has been released. The party picture comes from the duo of Todd Phillips and Nima Nourizadeh, who is making his directorial debut with the film. Phillips, best known for his wild creation, The Hangover, is producing the flick. For the unknown, ‘Project X’ follows “three high school seniors who throw a birthday party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, things spiral out of control as word of the party spreads.”
The first look is surprisingly serious with tones of Girls Gone Wild spread through out the documentary style flick, but the cast is a plus. Featured in the film is some fresh faced actors such as Thomas Mann from It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Oliver Cooper from the short Marriage Drama with Virginia Madsen, Jonathan Daniel Brown of Pretend Time, Footloose’s Miles Teller, who just played the role of Willard in the remake, and actress Nichole Bloom of 2012’s Model Minority.
The script comes from scribes Matt Drake, who just penned The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman and Michael Bacall of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame. Checkout the movie trailer for Project X below. The flick will be released to theaters on March 6th 2012. The teaser foreshadows a world of trouble for the trio with a car in the swimming pool and more.
