The day after Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty in committing involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, TMZ reported that a documentary about Murray and his relationship with Jackson will air in the United States.
According to the site, the documentary, Murray agreed to participate in the documentary, called “Michael Jackson and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship,” was shot during the time Murray was waiting for his manslaughter trial to start. The documentary is supposed to show “shockingly candid” footage of Murray’s preparation for the trial, which also involves some heavy fighting between the lawyers acting as Murray’s representation. Personally, after watching the trial from start to finish, you can tell that there was a fair amount of tension on the defense side, so this in-fighting might have had something to do with it, aside from the fact that the prosecution had presented a very well-made case.
Zodiak Rights, the distributor of the film, said the rights to the documentary are already pre-sold to major networks around the world, according to TMZ, and TMZ’s sources say that NBC is not only one of the networks the rights were pre-sold to, but will also air the documentary.
You can read the full report of it here, and TMZ’s exclusive clip from the documentary, which features Murray driving to the house in which he first met Jackson, below the post as well as at TMZ.
Will the documentary tell us more about the psyche of Murray and Jackson? Perhaps. Will it change people’s minds about Murray’s guilt? I wager that it probably won’t, but you never know.
