Tatyana Ali is mostly known for her work on 1990s show “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and soap “The Young and the Restless” as well as her current work on TVOne’s “Love That Girl.” Soon, however, she’ll be known for her indie work.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress has been cast in Canadian indie film “Home Again,” written and directed by Sudz Sutherland.
The film’s synopsis follows three adults are deported from Canada, America and England to Jamaica, the place of their birth. There, they have to find a way to survive.
The film, which Sutherland co-wrote with Jennifer Holness, will be shot in Jamaica and Trinidad for six weeks starting in January.
The synopsis sounds interesting and to me, the synopsis seems more like a teaser, as it doesn’t really tell us why the people were deported and why they must fend for their lives. But because we don’t know, that makes for a much more interesting viewing experience.
What do you think about the film? And how do you feel about Ali being cast? Give your opinions in the comments section below. If you’re a fan of Ali, make sure to watch her on “Love That Girl,” which airs on TVOne on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. “Love That Girl” is currently in its third season.
