Klaus’ two other Original Brothers have been cast in recurring roles on ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ TVGuide is reporting. British actor Caspar Zafer of ‘La Femme Muskateer’ fame has been offered the role of Finn, while Australian actor Nathaniel Buzzolic from ‘Out of the Blue’ is set to play Kol. Both brothers are upset with Klaus, portrayed by Joseph Morgan, as he’s locked them up in his coffins.
The casting of Zafter and Buzzolic comes after Klaus’ step-father, Mikael, played by Sebastian Roche, previously appeared in the third season of the hit CW supernatural series. Klaus killed Mikael during the midseason finale, however. Klaus’ sister, Rebekah, played by Claire Holt, was recently killed by Nina Dobrev’s Elena.
The Originals’ older brother, Elijah, played by Daniel Gillies, is still in the coffin that Stefan, portrayed by Paul Wesley, stole from Klaus. The group had two other Original brothers, but they died from the plague and a werewolf attack centuries prior.
‘The Vampire Diaries’ is set to return from its holiday hiatus on Thursday, January 5 at 8/7c on The CW. Zafter and Buzolic are set to first appear in Episode 13, titled ‘Bringing Out The Dead,’ which is set to air on January 28, 2012.
