It looks like the press machine for “Star Trek 2” is picking up steam. There are only 11 more months until 2013 rolls around right?

Anyway, the news to report today is Noel Clarke joining the cast of “Star Trek 2.” According to The Playlist and Variety, the specific role Clarke will play hasn’t been let out yet, but it has been revealed that Clarke’s character will be a family man who has a wife and daughter. We’ll see if this family man falls on the side of good or the side of evil.

According to The Playlist, Clarke is a person who is very talented aside from acting. He started in the sitcom “Auf Wiedersehen, Pet,” then played Mickey Smith in “Doctor Who” in 2005. Along with his acting career, he has also written and starred in 2006 drama “Kidulthood” and the 2008 sequel “Adulthood.” He has also directed Emma Roberts in “4.3.2.1.” and will also star in three of his own films in 2012 spanning the genres from romantic comedy (“The Knot”), sci-fi(“Storage 24”) and sports (“Fast Girls”). He has also won an Orange Rising Star BAFTA. It’s about time this guy has broken into Hollywood; this guy deserves it.
