Rumors regarding The Hangover star Bradley Cooper’s possible casting as the evil Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, Man of Steel, are growing rapidly. According to both AceShowbiz and reports coming from Cosmic Book News, Cooper may take on the role of the bald nemesis of Superman in a short screen appearance, since actor Adam Harris is no longer a candidate.
However, very few know what is actually true when it comes to the plot of Man of Steel, and what official villains will actually be appearing. With the exception of Michael Shannon as Zod, director Zack Snyder has kept details for the forthcoming movie tightly under wraps.
While Cooper is a great actor, he doesn’t seem to be the right fit for such a role, but he could possibly pull it off given both help from Snyder, and some special effects. As pointed out by several outlets, if Cooper does take on the role he would be the youngest actor in history to play the iconic villain, joining the ranks of Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey. Give us your thoughts on Bradley Cooper as Lex Luthor. Can he pull it off?
The Man of Steel is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 14th of 2013 with Henry Cavill in the role of the title character. Actors Diane Lane, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Ayelet Zorer also make up the cast.
