Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, The Avengers and – SuperMoms? Yes, and it’s as silly as it sounds. Joey Lauren Adams, Julie Warner, Lourdes Benedicto and Brennen Hesser join forces to bring the SuperMoms to life, a group of moms who are struck by lightning and left with superpowers that they use to, well, in the first episode, battle a band of stinky skunks.
That first episode just debuted on the SuperMom Facebook page yesterday with more episodes coming every Tuesday for the next seven weeks. The pieces are also being syndicated across the Joost Media Network.
Each episode features the moms in the real world, but then, when duty calls, they borrow a little from Captain Planet and turn into their superhero-selves each of which correspond to a certain element.
Honestly? It’s tough to take the material seriously and episode one is absolutely drowning in Fresh Step product placement, but what do you expect from a webseries presented by The Clorox Company? No harm, no foul and if you feel like giving the six-minute show a go, just like SuperMoms on Facebook and take a look.
