Part of Full Moon’s Grindhouse Collection, Sybil Danning donning a cream colored bikini underneath golden gladiator armor and wielding a sword, hosts a compilation of clips of famous and before they were famous women in various stages of undress and simulated sex scenes.
Kids, it’s hard to imagine what the world was like without the internet. Nowadays we have sites like Youtube or Mr Skin, where they painstakingly find clips of naked chicks for instant gratification, but before the internet, we had videotape; which was a long process to edit and the quality was usually crap.
The quality here is sort of crap, but seeing these clips really brings me back to my early teen years when trying to sneak a look at late night movies and scrambled cable when mom and dad were asleep. The days where women didn’t wax and their cries of passion were drowned out by the cheesy soundtracks and swelling scores. Some scenes were so over the top, I had to look away; I don’t know why, because I was watching this alone…maybe that was why.
One scene a woman rides bottomless on a Harley Davidson through the Hollywood Hills. Vanity from the 80’s classic The Last Dragon, was in a movie about her having a lustful relationship with a Gorilla. There’s tons of clips from exploitation films about women in chains, and Jacqueline Bisset has an all too realistic orgasm in one scene that seemed to go on forever.
There are no special features other than an introduction by creator Charles Brand, and he gives a little insider information on one of my favorites of his, Cinderella; unfortunately they didn’t provide any clips from that little hard to find gem.
Lots of boobs, bush and butts. Parents, if your teenage boy gets a hold of this, I say let him have it. He’ll never come out of his room, but it’s safer than a lot of the stuff he’ll find on the internet; and it’ll show him what real women are supposed to look like. I highly recommend playing this in the background at a party, one because it’s sad to watch alone and two, it’ll start some great conversations.
Total Rating: B (only because it made me nostalgic)
