Singer and actor Justin Timberlake has signed on to star in Clint Eastwood’s upcoming project ‘Trouble with the Curve’. The baseball movie is set to be helmed by Eastwoods’ partner Robert Lorenz and was penned by Randy Brown. The story will follow Clint as an older baseball scout who goes on a road trip to Atlanta with his daughter to scope out a highly talked about prospect. Set to play Eastwood’s on screen daughter is actress Amy Adams from both Man of Steel and The Fighter.
Timberlake will play the Dirty Harry star’s friend Johnny Flannigan, who is also a scout who works for the New York Yankees. Per several reliable reports, Timberlake and Adams’ character will have a romantic connection. ‘Trouble with the Curve’ will be produced by Malpaso, both Eastwood and Lorenz’s banner, with the help of exec. Sarah Shechler also on board.
Aside from this casting news surrounding Justin Timberlake he is also set to star in the Coen brothers’ newest project entitled ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’. The film follows “a singer-songwriter in New York’s 1960s folk music scene.” J.T. will star opposite actress Carey Mulligan of Shame, and Garrett Hedlund from Tron: Legacy.
