The official second trailer for director Marc Webb’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ has been officially released by Sony. The trailer for the superhero film, which stars Andrew Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Sally Field and Martin Sheen, runs for two minutes and 24 seconds.
‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ follows Peter Parker, played by Garfield, an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a child. Raised by his Uncle Ben, portrayed by Sheen, and Aunt May, played by Field, Peter is trying to figure out who he is. He’s also dealing with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy, portrayed by Stone, as they struggle with love and secrets.
Peter discovers a briefcase belonging to his father, and begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance. His search leads him to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors, played by Ifans, his father’s former partner. Spider-Man then sets out on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, and must make life-altering choices to use his powers and form his destiny to become a hero.
The trailer was released before Sony is holding sneak peek events for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ on Monday, February 6, 2012, around the world. Fans can sign up at The Untold Story Begins, to attend the event at theaters in select cities, including Berlin, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Mexico City, Moscow, New York, Paris, Rio de Janiero, Rome, Seoul, Sydney and Tokyo.
