Bryan Cranston, Anna Kendrick and Miles Teller have joined the cast of an upcoming CBS Films comedy, tentatively titled ‘Get A Job.’ They join previously announced stars Nick Bruan, Alison Brie, Brandon T. Jackson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Jay Pharoah. Filmmaker Dylan Kidd is attached to direct the movie, which was written by Kyle Pennekamp and Scott Turpel.
‘Get A Job,’ which will be produced by Double Feature Films’ Michal Shamberg and Stacey Sher, is a multi-generational comedy. It follows four recent college graduates who realize their expectations and the realities of adulthood are completely different. Kendrick has signed on to play Jillian Stewart, the type-A girlfriend of Teller’s character Will Davis. Cranston has signed on to play Will’s father, Roger, who’s looking for a job at the same time as his son.
Bruan, Mintz-Plasse and Jackson will play Will’s three friends, Charlie, Ethan and Luke, respectively, each of whom finds interesting careers. Brie is set to play Tanya, of the group’s sharp-witted co-workers, while Pharoah will play Skeezy D, who starts his own recession-proof business.
Of ‘Get A Job,’ which is set to start production in Los Angeles on Monday, Kidd said “We are making an emotionally honest comedy about the challenges that every genertaion faces in our rapidly changing world. We have assembled an extraordinary cast to make that happen.”
