Are you ready for the next British artist to invade the U.S.? Hopefully, you have had enough of Adele and are ready to make some room for the British pop-vocal group, The Wanted, who will release their U.S. debut album on April 24th via Mercury/Island Def Jam. You are probably familiar with the outfit’s hit single, “Glad You Came”, which premiered on Fox’s “Glee”. The track hit #2 on the U.S. iTunes chart and #1 on the Canadian iTunes chart.
The pop sensation sold out a headlining show at New York’s Gramercy Theater, followed by a yet again sold out three week, ten city promotion and performance mini-tour of the U.S., which kicked off in Orlando and wrapped up with the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. The Wanted, who recently appeared on television shows, “Ellen” and “Chelsea Lately”, will be coming to “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on March 20th, mtvU Spring Break 2012 in Las Vegas on April 2nd, “The Today Show” on April 24th and “The View” on April 25th. With these slated television performances and sold out shows, referring to The Wanted as a British invasion is undeniably well-deserved.
