Smallville actress Allison Mack is returning back to the land of television after ending her decade long run last year on the CW’s Superboy series. Now Mack has signed up to appear in a reoccurring role on FX’s crazy dog comedy Wilfred in season 2 of the series. The actress, who has been busy with a few choice projects as of late, will play a biochemist and love interest to Wilfred’s owner Ryan who is played by actor Elijah Wood. Her character is described as “attractive and edgy” by Deadline.
In the last year Allison has been taking it slow according to her official website. The former watchtower of Metropolis and sidekick to Clark Kent, Chloe Sullivan, has been working on several off Broadway productions, the musical Up Here with Josh Radnor, as well as The Public Theatre’s Shakespeare Lab. Mack’s previous work includes both The Chloe Chronicles and the Smallville: Vengeance Chronicles. She has also worked on Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, The Batman series, Dirty Little Secret, and Opposite Sex. The Germany born actress is currently on board Piranha 3DD as the character Kara Jones and director Christopher Petry’s flick entitled Marilyn. Are you glad to see Mack return to the small screen?
