By now you’ve probably heard the news that Ashton Kutcher is going to be playing Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in a biopic called “Jobs”. I’m sure some people out there are a little steamed that he was given the part, but Steve Wozniak, who helped found Apple with Jobs, said that he’s happy to see Kutcher with the part.

“I’m glad he’s onboard,” Wozniak told TMZ. “The fear that many might have is that Ashton was selected because he’s ‘hot’ right now. But I feel that his selection was done in the most professional manner…I think he’ll put a lot into it and that he cares about this particular project.”

You can read more of what Wozniak said about the film and Kutcher’s involvement at TMZ.

“Jobs” will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern and principal photography will start this May. This is not the only Steve Jobs biopic in the works–according to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony also has a biopic coming down the pipeline. Their film will be based on the biography by Walter Isaacson.

What do you think about Wozniak’s blessing? Do you still think Kutcher’s wrong for the role? Give your opinions in the comments section below.
