127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle has been put in charge of the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympics that will be held in London. Boyle plans to make his presentation with the help of James Bond who will be played by actor Daniel Craig. The Olympics short film will be entitled ‘The Arrival’ and will showcase Bond at the Buckingham Palace after being invited by the Queen. While there 007 will be given instructions for his next big mission – The Olympics. According to The Sun, Bond will kick off the event by parachuting out of a helicopter into the Stratford, East London Stadium.
The site also shared that there is a possibility the Queen herself could be making an appearance. After being granted access to the Buckingham Palace anything is possible for Boyle whose Arrival project was deemed difficult – “working out the logistics of filming has taken months and hasn’t been easy, but it will be worth it in the end,” The Sun shared. Boyle, who just wrapped up on the set of his latest movie entitled Trance, is also well known for his movie Sunshine, Millions, 28 Days Later, Trainspotting and more.
