“The Dark Knight Rises” finally has a rating!

According to Collider, the film has been given a PG-13 rating. It’s not surprising; “The Dark Knight” was a PG-13 movie. If anyone is worried about the rating, then you obviously didn’t watch “The Dark Knight.”

When I watched “The Dark Knight” in the theaters, I was surprised with how much scary, violent stuff was put into that movie for it to still be PG-13. Basically, the film was one bloody kill away from being R the entire time. If there’s one thing Christopher Nolan and co. know how to do, it’s how to milk a rating for all it’s worth.

With “Rises” being the same rating, I’m really excited and scared about what’s going to be put into this film. I imagine if Nolan can have “Knight” be as insane as it was while still allowing 13-year-olds in the audience, “Rises” is somehow going be even better/scarier.

You can read more about the rating at Collider.com. “The Dark Knight Rises” stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway. The film will be released to theaters July 20 (not a long time away!).

  1. ‘Begins’ felt even stronger to me … and plus I thought we all understood he had an obligation to the studio to keep it PG-13. There’s no problem, surprise or, quite frankly, news to report on the matter.

    Come off it.
